Ron Potesky and his wife, Christina, have owned the Mr. Handyman franchise for 2 years.  Mr. Handyman is the largest handyman company in the world.  They purchased the franchise from the previous owner, who had grown his 6 county territory into one of the largest franchises in the Mr. Handyman system. They were actually a longtime customer of the service and, after finding out that the business was for sale, they purchased it.
He joins Mitch on the podcast to discuss his experience in business and how he and his wife came to buy a Mr. Handyman franchise.
Ron Potesky spent 30 years in corporate management. Previous to his local business turn, he most recently ran the color standards company Pantone, Inc for 9 years. Pantone was a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation - a large industrial conglomerate. Prior to Pantone, he was the head of marketing for Ricoh Americas Inc (printers, copiers, cameras) and prior to Ricoh he was the marketing head of Canon's color copier division.
Ron’s wife, Christina has been a NY media executive including 20 years with Martha Stewart Living where she was the publisher of several magazines. She currently splits her time between their handyman business and her own executive consulting practice. They have 5 kids between them and live in Summit, NJ.
