The Fermented Adventure was born at Walter Palmer's Liberty Gin. To date they have visited over 500 distilleries, cideries, meaderies, wineries, breweries and cocktail bars. They launched Fermented Adventure the Podcast in January of 2019 to share the stories and the people that they have met along the way.

Artin Nazarian's story is an immigrant story. As a Christian minority family in war-torn Iran, his parents decided it best to move somewhere that could give Artin and his sister better opportunities. At 10 years old, Artin and his family immigrated to the United States with Madrid as a point of transition. In Madrid, Artin and his family lived as refugees, residing in temporary housing and relying on government aid. Asking his parents for money was not an option. Thus, ensued Artin's first taste of entrepreneurship - selling hand-drawn art to other students at his elementary school. Once eligible, his family moved to Los Angeles, California. Life in L.A. strengthened his interest in the arts and eventually inspired Artin to pursue filmmaking. After film school, he landed at Walt Disney Studios where he rose through the ranks, becoming an executive before the age of 30.

Throughout his time at Disney, Artin has contributed to the launch of Disney+, assisted the integration of the $71 billion acquisition of Twentieth Century Fox, and worked on legendary brands include Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar. Alongside these accomplishments, Artin has continued to fuel his passion for entrepreneurship. Learning from both failed and successful ventures, he has raised over $4 million to build software products and launch tech startups. Lynne Eichenbaum is the owner and creator of GardenSleeves by NOMPI Gloves, a patented line of long- sleeved gardening gloves designed to help protect the arms from poison ivy, mosquito bites, sunburn, dirt, stinging nettles, and all things itchy. (NOMPI stands for NO More Poison Ivy.)

Lynne came up with the idea for her gloves when she contracted poison ivy from weeding her yard. A self-taught seamstress, Lynne’s vision came to life when she constructed herself a working GardenSleeves prototype, loved the result, and couldn’t wait to share her idea with fellow gardeners. Her little project became GardenSleeves by NOMPI Glove Company. Her gloves have had smashing success at huge flower show events in many states including Connecticut, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Virginia. The Healthy Place, formerly Apple Wellness, was founded by Tim and his wife, Becki, in 2010. It began as one, small vitamin and supplement store with only the two of them and their newly born daughter. Their goal was to become the best vitamin and supplement store in the Wisconsin area. They wanted to provide customers with the highest quality products, but also with the education needed for customers to stride forward confidently on their journey to find wellness.

Lane Kawaoka is a Licensed Professional (PE) with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Construction Management and a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering both from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He currently owns 21 Apartments Buildings, 2 Manufactured Home developments, and an Assisted-Living Facility totaling 4,500+ units in 12 different states.

Lane started investing when he was 13 years old with the $2,000 he earned from a summer job picking Pineapples in Maui. He bought a $500 Ukulele and deposited the $1500 into a Roth IRA via mutual funds. That Ukulele is featured in the SimplePassiveCashflow.com podcast’s theme song.

Lane started his venture in real estate investing in 2009 after living on the road for 5 years as a construction supervisor by purchasing an A-class rental in Seattle that rented $2200 per month. Three years later he was able to acquire a duplex. While looking for a 3rd investment in 2012, the market was rebounding and he realized most investments would yield negative cashflow.

After this realization, Lane converted his portfolio to secondary markets with robust job markets and Rent-to-Value Ratios that would yield $250-$400 monthly profit between rents and all expenses.

Ron Coury is a name that is well-known to longtime residents and members of the business community in Southern Nevada. A U.S. Marine, Coury has seen and done a lot in his 45 years in Las Vegas. Coury is an observational entrepreneur, a “niche finder,” in his words. With nearly every venture he has undertaken, alongside various business partners including Dan Hughes, Don Tamburro and Tom Boeckle, he identified operational nuances that led to enhanced levels of success with all their ventures. This mindset was fascinating to execute in a young, growing town like Las Vegas since his arrival in 1973.

Coury has worked as a casino dealer, real estate agent, founder of a limousine service and a partner in bars, restaurants, major graphics and glass companies, along with several automobile dealerships in Nevada and California.

As a niche finder Coury says, “When you can demonstrate a need in any area of industry, your job is to find a cure, believe you can implement it, raise the money to do so, form the team and make it happen: a new business is born.”

Lucas co-founded Venngage back in 2012. It's an infographic maker that was named as one of the top 25 startups in Canada by Linkedin in 2019. He launched TreatsHappen.com - a website selling natural dog treats. Sold into TJX, Amazon, independent and Big Box retail and founded hi eComm consulting agency, Rolled Up, and began advising on marketing and eCommerce, launched a B2B sales podcast.

Justin Reitman is the Co-Founder of Tech Shredders and Director of Business Development at Intek Leasing in Roseland, NJ. He is a former lawyer who took the long path to working in the family business. His entrepreneurship journey started in a law school classroom of all places, where he developed note taking software. A few years after law school, he joined Caviar as an early employee, helping the food delivery app grow their New York market and acquisition to Square. In 2015, after a brief stint with his own food delivery app, he decided to join the family at Intek.

Justin is the second generation to work in the business, joining his brother Adam and father Billy who started Intek in 1986. Intek provides truck financing and equipment leasing programs to small and medium businesses. Many of the industries they serve work with highly specialized vehicles like heavy duty tow trucks, car carriers, mobile shredding trucks, and tri-axel dump trucks. After successfully launching in 2005 and selling in 2018 “SafeShredding” (a mobile paper shredding company), Justin and Adam launched Tech Shredders, a hard drive shredding and electronic recycling service.

Justin currently splits his time between Intek and Tech Shredders, focusing on sales and business development at both. Intek has given Justin and his family the opportunity to enter new markets and expand their business beyond just leasing more trucks.

He was only 36 years old when Success magazine featured his journey from earning $3.05 an hour cutting chickens for Foster Farms to creating millionaires from his sales training and performance coaching.

Had it not been for an obscure management decision by Foster Farms – they would not promote anyone who did not have a college degree – Richard would have recently retired from a 40-year career at the processing plant. Instead, he pivoted and built a nationwide sales organization of 30,000 people by the time he was 28 and went on to build two global companies over the next 35 years.

Mike Shoreman, "the board man" is a fun and personable paddleboarder. On a trip to India, he stands before the Ganges River, and awakens to his passion of inspiring others on the water. He returns home, becomes a professional paddlbeboarding coach, taught stand-up paddleboarding and ran a business. His dream of sharing his gift with students becomes a reality.

One morning, everything changes. A sudden neurological condition called Ramsay Hunt Syndrome wakes him in excruciating pain. With a collapsed face, extreme vertigo, and an inability to walk properly, Mike is devasted that his budding paddleboarding career has come to an abrupt end. Hopelessness and loss enfold him as he is left to grieve his old life.

Instead, Mike channeled his pain into purpose. He used positive thinking to reverse falling down. He got back up and stepped bravely into a life that looks nothing like the one he had originally planned. He wrote “Diaries of The Unbalanced Paddleboarder: Crash and RISE: From Victim to Thriving Survivor” to highlight what it truly means to crash and rise again by transcending mental and physical limitations in order to share his light with the world. His story reminds us that it is always darkest just before the dawn.

In August 2020, he entered the Speaker Slam inspirational public speaking competition with the event being about acts of courage. He gave his first speech ever that evening to 300 people hoping to uplift a few people in the room. Titled “I said yes,” Mike won the competition.

Today, Mike still coaches paddleboarding while being a motivational speaker.
